Session Persistent Pools

  • http_persistent
  • https_persistent
  • https_offload_persistent

For these types of pools, the load balancer will track and store session data, such as the address and port for the specific node that serviced a client request.  This way client requests are directed to the same node throughout the life of a session or during subsequent sessions.  Session persistence is achieved by inserting information about the node to which the client connects in the header of the HTTP response from the server as a cookie.
